The Holtville Dixie Youth League wants to remind you that ball season is finally here and we want to remind you that registration is now here. Registration is now over, but it’s not too late. We will be having late registration Saturday Feb 11th from 9-11am at the Holtville Dixie Complex. You can also download a registration form from our website www.holtvilleball.com and send it to our PO Box so we can have you registered before the tryouts on Feb 11th. Please come and sign up your child by then so they will be able to play this year. If you have any questions you can contact Dawn Nixon, Commissioner @ 569- 0001.

2012 Spring Registration
Registration for the Spring Baseball/Softball season is in progress. If you have not registered yet, please sign up Thursday, Feb 2nd, from 5 to 8PM
at the Alice Allen Sports Complex. Tryouts will be held on Feb 11th. |

HDYL will be hosting Fall ball this year. Our goal is to develop baseball/softball skills while giving players a fun and supportive place to play.
We will accept registration from individuals to be entered into a draft or you may register as an entire team.
The Fall season will run from September – October.
v Registration will be at the HDYL ball Fields (Alice C. Allen Sports Complex) on:
o Saturday, July 30th 9am – 12 noon
o Thursday, August 4th 5pm – 8pm
o Saturday, August 6th 9am – 12 noon
v Registration Fee is $45.00.
v Baseball ages 4-12 / Softball ages 4-14
v Bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate to registration

Holtville 14U Girls are State Champions! |

CONGRATULATIONS 14U GIRLS FASTPITCH TEAM!
Six teams competed at the NSA State tournament this past weekend, June 23-25th, at Liberty Park in Vestavia Hills. Our 14U Holtville team was undefeated and are the 2011 State Champions! They beat out teams such as Monrovia, Hueytown, Leeds, Pinson, and Pell City. This was no easy task, but the girls practiced hard and played well. In Coach Jim Walker's words, "The girls literally became a machine... The bats came alive... I am soooooo proud of this entire team. They truly are the best in Alabama."
If you see these girls or coaches, please give them a pat on the back and congratulate them. This team took the Holtville name to State and could not have done a better job representing this community. We are all so very proud of this team!
Players: Morgan Cleveland, Savana Culpepper, Laken Freeman, Kaley Hughes, Haley Mann, Jessica Strength, Cynthia Toney, Holly Walker, Taylor West, Allison Wetherill. Coaches: Jim Walker, Joey Blankenship, Doug Mann.
